Unless a course is cancelled members are not eligible for a refund of course fees except in exceptional circumstances. Members requesting a refund are required to fill in a “Refund Request” form which then goes to the executive for a decision. Refunds can only be made by bank transfer.

We did not learn a great deal of Australian History at school, so this course is an opportunity to catch up on our unique, interesting and rich past from pre-colonial days until the present. 'Understanding the Universe' is a Great Courses video course presented by Professor Alex Filippenko from the University of California, Berkeley. Professor Filippenko is well-known as someone who explains astronomy very clearly and his knowledge is extensive. Filled with terrific photography, diagrams and animations this course covers subjects such as the formation of the stars and planets through to supernova, black holes and dark matter. Heaps of information, delivered clearly and simply, this is a fabulous course for anyone who is curious about our world and its place in the Universe. The course will extend over two terms.
